August Targeted Devotional Prayers

Feel the presence of Holy Spirit as you read our the fruits of the spirit focused devotionals.

Holy Spirit, Our Everything ~ August 26-September 1

Holy Spirit, we are so in love with you, and our cry is that we want to know you more. We know you are the most enthusiastic, loving, caring, powerful friend that we could ever have, and I pray that we would be as enthusiastic about you, as you are about us. Continue to encounter us with the passion of Jesus, so that passion could radically ignite a passion in our heart for you.

Holy Spirit, come and touch hearts today as we gaze upon you.  Do something deep in our spirit that captivates us and consumes us with love, and releases outrageous joy of dependency upon you.  Open our eyes so that we may gaze on your beauty. Amen.

Holy Spirit, Our Resting Place ~ August 19-25

Father I am asking that You speak very loudly to every reader, that they are yours and there is no weapon formed against them that could ever prosper. Father, cause us to stand up on the inside and begin to resist the enemy at every point in our lives, by simply surrendering to you.  Let us feel your love so deeply in our hearts as we stand strong against everything that comes against us.

Thank You, that in every warfare moment, in every crisis event, in every difficulty and disappointment I face, I can turn and find a table of communion right in the midst of those things. It is a table of your presence, filled with everything that I need to feed my soul and spirit on to live in radical faith, hope, confidence, rest and peace.

Lord, that is my commitment today, to always use every opposition to draw nearer to you.   Thank you for your comfort and for always being near. Amen.

Fruit of the Spirit Devotionals - Series 3 ~ August 12-18

Lord, I am so grateful that you are my best friend and my shepherd, and that your compassion and care for me is beyond comprehension. Because of you, I lack nothing.

Thank You Holy Spirit for drawing near to me and tenderly carrying me into times of refreshing.  I am just going to lay here in your luxurious love and surrender my heart to your oasis of peace in this quiet brook of bliss.

It truly is an extremely comfortable, elegant, or enjoyable place to hang out. Amen

Fruit of the Spirit Devotionals - Series 2 ~ August 4-11

We invite you Holy Spirit, to develop your fruits in our lives. We invite your kindness to rise up within us at just the right moment. Make our kindness considerate, tender and compassionate, just like yours. In your kindness we choose to speak the truth, wrapped in love and preceded by grace.

Develop within us patience that endures. Let us keep our love and passion on for people and situations. We long to see your goodness, not just where we expect it, but in the nooks and crannies where we least expect goodness to exist. We invite your goodness to rise up in and through us and incinerate anything and everything about our life that opposes that goodness.

We want to walk in faith that prevails and we understand that faith grows in the soil of difficult circumstances. Thank You for promising to make beauty out of our ashes, may a prevailing faith rise out of our times of crisis and remind us that there is nothing you can’t bring us out of better than we were before.

Amen

Fruit of the Spirit Devotionals - Series 1 ~ July 29-August 4

We acknowledge that the fruits of the Spirit are yours and we invite you, Holy Spirit, to develop them within us. We choose to love authentically without strings attached. Let our love be an expression of who You are for us. We invite your joy to overflow within us. Our joy is not tied to circumstances, it is tied to you. We invite your peace to grow within us and subdue all external pressures.

Your fruits grow abundantly in the soil of difficult circumstances when we choose to fix our gaze on you and invite you to come and make us like you. So come Lord Jesus, our soil is rich and prepared for your planting.  We long to love like you. Let your foundation of love be the foundation of our lives.  Amen
