October Targeted Devotional Prayers

Lord, you and you alone, are who I want to focus on. My thoughts run rampant sometimes and I need your help to control them. I want to think with a kingdom perspective so when the tough times come, I have my mind set on you.

Help me to capture every thought that does not have you as its sponsor. This is my prayer Lord, to keep my thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. I am choosing your way of thinking.

The outcome you have promised is an untroubled heart and to be filled with your presence of peace. Thank you for those incredible gifts. Amen.

Lord, when you speak to me, my heart fills to overflowing with gladness and joy. You have a way of speaking that lifts me up above my circumstances and fills me with strength.

Help me to be just like you. 

I want to speak your words of grace and love and encouragement to my sphere of influence. Let my mouth be your voice speaking edification and blessing to all who cross my path.  

You are the only one who can transform my speech to be like yours. So Lord, I am asking you to transform my speech. Show me when my mouth needs to remain shut and when I need to speak your words. I trust you for this miracle. Amen

Lord, we are serious about living this new resurrection life with you. We pursue the things you preside over. We are seated with you in heavenly realms. Rather than become absorbed with what’s right in front of our eyes, we look up and stay alert to what is going on around you. We want to see with your eyes; see with your perspective.

Help us to respond to your voice of love. We want to sense every move you make and follow your gaze. Yes we can!

We live in an unbroken experience of the immeasurable riches of your grace. We live in a constant experience of your goodness and kindness. You created us for love. We are not the initiator of love, but the recipient of love from a Father whose heart is ravished over us. Remind us when we get lost in ourselves.

We desire to respond to your romancing as we embrace the passionate love you have for us. Amen

Lord, we are eager to live your faith-rest life. When we step into your rest, it displaces anything trying to oppose our peace. We choose to be anxious for nothing, but in everything we give you thanks. Help us to choose this always.

You allow us to experience our greatest joy in the midst of our greatest difficulties. In our time of trouble, you hide us in a secret place that is visible but beyond the reach of the enemy. You set a table before us in the presence of our enemies. In every conflict you hide us and in every conflict you set a table for us. Help us to eat hungrily at your provided table.

We are seated with you in heavenly places where rest is a tangible expression of your presence. We collapse into you Holy Spirit, as you refresh us completely. Thank you. Amen

We love to praise you Lord! 

We choose to praise in situations that oppose us, knowing it releases the power of breakthrough. As we praise you, release a greater zeal in our heart to know you more. The more we praise, the more we have encounters with your passion. 

We invite you, Holy Spirit, to ignite zeal and passion in our hearts.

We love to be intoxicated by your presence. Our praise produces sweet new wine full of intoxicating joy that destroys depression, crushes anxiety and sheds fear. 

Our praise brings the fire of your presence where we experience your glory and are consumed by you. Yes Lord, consume us today as we offer you our sacrifice of praise.
