June Targeted Devotional Prayers

Lord, you have given us so many helpers in our life when dealing with problems. We are so grateful for every one of them.  Your approach to all we face is indescribable and only can come from you. You are the source of all we need.

Your powerful peace that crushes chaos is one that we cannot live without. Thank you for your peace which is unlike any other peace we know.

Thank you for your approach to overcoming anxiety.  All we need to do is be still and know who you are and all anxiety dissolves.  Only you!

Thank you for the Comforter, Holy Spirit.  Lord, how creative you are!  You have given us all we need to not just survive but live a life full of you.  We can thrive with all you have provided.  Oh Lord, you have thought of everything!

We praise you!

Lord, you have given us so many opportunities to mature in life.  We want to take every opportunity and with your help, grow more and more in love with you and be like you.  Our desire is to be a Jesus follower every day.

We need your help with our speech.  Let every word be encouraging to ourselves and to everyone around us.  We want your grace to ooze from us to everyone we talk to.  We know this is your desire for us too.

Thank you for laughter, which calms our bodies, souls and spirits.  What a great gift you have given us…joy!!  The more we use this creative gift, the better life gets.  

So Lord, thank you for maturing us and making us into your followers.  We receive your gifts and gladly pass them on to others!  We love you. Amen

Lord, we submit our soul, our emotions, our feelings, our ‘how-is-this-affecting-me’ to our spirit.

As we submit to you, peace, rest and stillness is rising up. You are releasing rest through your breath, through your touch, through your voice, through your Presence. As you release rest in tangible ways, we get to experience it in all areas of our lives. 

Thank you that rest is our weapon, where we can put to death anxiety, fear, stress, doubt, and worry.   Thank you for the freedom to choose. Thank you for not only the ability to choose but thank you for rest, and the ability to partner with the Holy Spirit in rest.  

Today, we choose rest! Amen

Lord, I thank you that the very first thing you introduced into our relationship was the capacity to be at rest. You created rest to reside inside of us. It’s a place that you are calling us to abide, to remain, to stay and to live in. 

As we choose rest, and surrender ourselves to you, rest begins to displace everything that resists it. What a magnificent gift you have given us!

Thank you for the promise that when we are still, we get to experience you in deeper ways.  We get to know you.  Lord, when you are present, nothing else matters.  So, we surrender to you, our very being and enter into your rest.  Amen.
