January Targeted Devotional Prayers

Holy Spirit, our goal is to live our lives with an on-going engagement, an on-going intimate closeness and friendship with you. You are the most enthusiastic, encouraging, outrageously loving, most powerful trainer, guide, helper and friend we could ever have. Our desire is to know you more and more and more. 

I pray that we would have encounters with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, that this explosive, earth-shattering, world changing power would surge through us so we could release the Kingdom of God everywhere we go.

Help us to fully surrender to you in all things.  Amen.

Holy Spirit, we long to know you more intimately. We long to experience you more and more and more.  We long to hear your voice, and feel your touch in ever increasing ways in our life.  

Our desire is to live with an increased consciousness and awareness of you, throughout each day. I long to live with such an awareness of you inside of me, that I am conscious of your every move in my life. We want to feel you tangibly throughout the day.  Draw near Holy Spirit, amen.

Holy Spirit, as we pray, release your comfort so significantly that it crushes everything in our inner world that opposes it. Help us to sense your comfort so tangibly on the inside of us, and allow us to feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Your comfort means you release strength, give hope and ease grief, so I pray you come into every heart and release all your attributes.  I thank You that you walk with us through the good and the bad. That you walk with us on the mountain tops and through the valley.  Your commitment to us is never less than 100% because that is who you are.

Take us to a place where your presence so overwhelms us that our circumstances would diminish in power, but your comfort would rise up strong.  Amen. 

Lord, in moments when I am facing things that are so powerfully opposing me, I choose to surrender my heart and my soul to you. I am unable in my own strength to face what is opposing me, but I can do all things through the spirit of God, who is my strength. 

I turn my heart to you and say, I trust you. In this moment, I pray for the gift of the peace of God. Your peace that you give us as a gift, I say yes, and ask that this gift of shalom crush everything creating chaos, fear, doubt and worry in my heart.  Amen.
