What does it mean to be a Jesus Christ follower, not just a Christian?

January Targeted Devotional Prayers

Start this year saturated in His holy presence and word.

Confession of Hope Devotions ~ Jan 26-Feb 1, 2026

Lord, I am choosing to make it a habit and a practice to take time throughout the day to simply lift my heart and voice to you and let you know how much I love you, how much you mean to me. I love You, I worship You, I bless You.

In this place, I am making a confession of hope, that you will strike through and I will see the good in my situation. It is your hope that causes me to live in faith, that causes me to trust, that causes me to move in the opposite spirit of what circumstances are trying to tell me.

There is no one like You. God, You are so good to me. It is this un-ceasing dialogue with you that keeps my ability to hear you at a really high level. Throughout the day, I will practice lifting my heart to you Lord. Thank you for your resting place of hope.  Amen

Occupied with God Devotions ~ January 19-25, 2026

There is no weapon formed against me that could ever prosper. Holy Spirit, would you continue to help me to look beyond the natural circumstances of life and see into the realm of the spirit? I know my heart will then be flooded with your perfect peace that passes all understanding.

I know that there is a place in the Spirit set aside for me, and I choose to abide there.  It is a place of rest and refreshing in the presence of the one who knows me the best and loves me the most. Right now, I choose to turn my heart towards you.

Holy Spirit, carry me into that wonderful cloud-filled chamber of the presence of my Beloved Jesus.  In this place of your grace and glory I thank you that I will experience peace, rest and stillness.

I will discover that you, Lord, are a safe place, a proven help in times of trouble. You are my refuge and I choose to remain in life-union with you Lord, Amen.

No Troubles Devotions ~ Jan 12-18, 2026

Lord, today we make a choice to choose love, life and laughter. We choose to embrace peace and pursue rest. Lord, we are making a conscious choice to turn our heart of affections towards you in praise, worship, thanksgiving and adoration. And we know as we do, whatever opposition we may be facing today seems to simply lose its power and its voice.

Help us to always choose stillness and quiet times with you.  Thank you for the promise being our refuge; the safe place in you. Thank you for being our Prince of Peace; one that is not fragile!

Thank you Lord that you are always with us, that you never leave us nor forsake. We are grateful. Amen.

The One Thing Devotions ~ Jan 5-11, 2026

Holy Spirit, please overwhelm me with your love, your grace, your mercy, and your presence.

Let your words saturate me ~ every part of me is beautiful to you, and that there is beauty in me.

Move from my spirit to my soul, and flood my whole heart. Release your joy, your smile and your pleasure over me. Increase my awareness of you, right now. In your presence Lord, let me know, that I know, that I know, I am your beloved! Amen.

Dec 29, 2025 -Jan 4, 2026 devotions

Father, I thank you that you walk with us through the good and the bad. That you walk with us on the mountain and in the valley, and that your commitment to us is always one hundred percent, because that is who you are.

So, Lord, right now, right where we stand, in this moment of opposition, in the pain, the disappointment, the difficulty and struggle of our circumstances, I pray you touch us with your presence. Take us to a place where your presence so overwhelms us that our circumstances would diminish in power.

Thank You Lord. Amen.
