New Year's Devotionals Dec 27, 2021-Jan 2, 2022

Dear Father in Heaven,

This year is now coming to an end and we will be embarking on a new one. Thank you for your goodness this past year.

Regardless of the season we were in, whether it was a joyful year or difficult one, your goodness and presence was always evident.

In the beginning God, you, created the heavens and the earth.

And Father when you were creating you made time, we have days, nights, weeks, months, seasons and years.

It is ever changing.

But the change is a graceful opportunity for something new, like fresh starts, new beginnings, second chances and more growth and development.

We do not know what this New Year will bring or what it holds for us.

But what we do know is that you hold us in your hands, that you go before us, walk beside us and stand behind us.

Holding faithfully to your words we can rest assured that you are with us always, through every day, night, season and also in this New Year.

Father, as you close the door on this Year and open another into this New Year, we again give you thanks and praises for your countless blessings, your protection, your mercies and grace, and above all these your love.

We pray all those things continue into this new year.

We are excited for all the new this new year holds, because whatever it holds you are with us and will work all things out for our good.

Thank you for the time you give us and may we use that time for your will, your purpose and an opportunity to love and bless others.

And may we also spend much of that time in intimate moments with you.

We give you thanks and pray for all these things in Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

Christmas Week Devotions: December 20-26, 2021

Long were our hearts pining for You Jesus before You appeared and our soul felt its worth. You thrill us with hope and exchange our weariness for rejoicing. You proclaim peace to the earth and extend Your goodwill to us. You are the light of the world, given for us. You are our Joy. As Heaven and nature sings, we prepare room for You in our hearts for with You breaks a new and glorious morning. We repeat the sounding joy of Your arrival.

Your law is love and Your gospel is peace. In Your name all oppression ceases. We come and adore You. We turn our heart of affections towards You and declare that You alone are worthy and thus we give You all of the glory Jesus.

Psalms of Devotion: December 13-19, 2021

Your secret place is our home; it is the place we find peace, rest and stillness. This secret internal castle of Your presence is where we open our heart to You and You open your heart to us; it’s where we discover who we are when there’s no one else around. We receive strength, refinement and inspiration for our future in this place of stillness with You.

With You as our refuge, we are safe and sheltered from pursuit, danger or trouble. The moment we hit an obstacle and turn our heart of affections towards You, we are kept safe and sheltered. While we find refuge in You, Your nature and character is produced in us and our refuge becomes our fortress. Out of this fortress we are released to change the external environment that is seeking to create chaos in our life. We come out of our refuge armed and dangerous with Your strategy on how to crush the external obstacles attempting to create chaos in our life. You are our God in whom we place all of our trust.

Song of Songs Devotions Part 4: December 6-12, 2021

We are the ones who have captured Your heart. We are the ones You have longed to share Yourself with. You flood our hearts with a love that is beyond comprehension. You, the one who knows us best, knows the very best way to scale our walls, invade our minds, and captivate our hearts with Your love.

Your passion for us is all consuming and relentless. We are more pleasing to You than anything else in the created universe. We are Your banqueting table. Our heart is a love feast for You Jesus. We long for You and turn our heart of affections towards You with adoration and waves of worship that delight Your heart. Our love, our worship is Your finest wine, it is like a sweet praise-perfume that floods Your throne room. How incredible it is that we get to minister to You and delight Your heart. It makes our hearts cry out to You all the more in adoration, love and worship.

Song of Songs Devotions Part 3: November 29-December 5, 2021

You are calling us to Yourself. You love being with us, taking extreme delight in our time together. You love us like no one else loves us. You partner with us to catch and remove anything hindering or compromising our ability to receive Your love. You search us and know our heart. Lead the hunt Lord for any barrier to Your love that we’ve allowed.

Even in the midst of our struggles we know that we are Yours and You are ours. You never draw back from us but call us beautiful and lovely. You know our strengths, weaknesses, triumphs and struggles and still Your thoughts are filled with overwhelming love for us. We invite deeper encounters with Your love to invade our heart, soul, mind, emotions and feelings. May we reverberate with the full knowledge of Your love.
