April Targeted Devotional Prayers

Jesus, thank You that you have given us a helper and a come-along-side intimate friend in the Holy Spirit. I am especially grateful, Holy Spirit, that you have a passion to see more and more of the nature of Jesus developed in me. One of your great joys is to produce your fruit in each of us. 

Holy Spirit, our prayer is that we would see growing evidence of the nature of Jesus and the fruit of you developing in us. Release in us a joy that overflows; establish peace in us that subdues everything that opposes it. Establish within us a patience that will always endure, and faith that prevails.

We want to be as generous as You; as loving as You; as peaceful as You; and as kind as you. As we hang out in You, Holy Spirit, would you imprint upon our hearts the very nature and character of Jesus?

Holy Spirit, you abide in us and as we abide in you, we discover a place where we are living in the fruit of peace, patience, faith and rest. It is in this place where we are refreshed and invigorated.   

There is no striving or work in living and releasing the fruit of the Spirit. It is simply about living in that place of Your Presence. Holy Spirit, I pray that every time I face anything that opposes the fruit inside of me, that you draw up close and carry me into that secret place where I will be safe under the shadow of the Almighty. And from that place, in any opposition, I will experience more of the development of the fruit of the Spirit and nature of Jesus. Thank You Lord, amen.

Father, we know the devil is a thief, who longs to kill, rob and destroy everything about our life, but that Jesus came that we might have an abundant life. 

Warfare is about discovering YOU Lord. Discovering Your Majesty, Your Supremacy, Your Sovereignty, and Your Awesome Nature. Warfare is about discovering the essential nature of Your heart Lord, and discovering just who it is that we have living inside of us. 

Help our first response in every conflict to be to step back into that place inside of us, that place of Your presence Lord, where you abide. Then we find ourselves engulfed in the atmosphere of peace, and from that place, we begin to get Your perspective and strategy on how to move forward. 

Lord, in times of conflict and opposition, help us to never turn our gaze from you, but to step deeper into You. We know You will infuse us with strength, and help and hold us firmly with Your victorious right hand.

Thank You for Your mighty right hand that comes underneath us as a support and helps us in our times of trouble. Thank You that you never let go. Thank You for the whisper in our heart that says: Do not be afraid, I am here to help you.  

The way you love us is incomprehensible, we cannot wrap our minds around it, and we say thank You Lord, You are wonderful and we love you.

Lord, all throughout the Psalms we are reminded of the incredible blessings and benefits that we inherit, just by saying Yes to Your love, Yes to You coming and living in me.

You have taken care of our sin. You washed us in Your blood so sin does not exist in our life because Your blood has so completely cleansed us. Not only are we not punished for our sin, we are brought into Your family; we are becoming Your Bride who will rule and reign with You forever. You forgive all our iniquities; You heal all our diseases, You redeem our life from destruction, and You crown us with love, kindness and mercy. 

And you are good. Lord, we declare You are good. That is the one attribute that we will not let go of, because it is not based on what is or what is not happening, it is based on our personal testimony of who we know you are.

Lord, we declare, we will never forget Your absolutes and benefits, that you impart to us; especially when life is attempting to rob us of those truths. Holy Spirit, help us to live really well in the tension of times we don’t understand. Increase our faith in those moments that challenge those absolute truths, so we can live in between these conflicting realities without losing hope.  

We pray for all this in Jesus’ name. Amen

We declare, we will turn our heart of affections towards You Jesus. We will run into our Strong Tower and connect with the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lord.

I pray Lord, that you would do violence to any passive spirit, in the Name of Jesus. All over our nation, this is a time for us to turn our heart towards you and be filled with the Power of the Spirit to stand strong in this moment, not just for us, but for everyone who needs courage and strength right now.

Lord, our desire is to be the church to the world today. So, any passivity that is trying to cause us, as the people of God, to pull back, I pray you would kill it stone dead, and that passivity would fall off of the body of Christ.

We stand in your Presence and we say yes in our own heart, declaring that we will not be passive, but we will be verbal, active and fight for triumph in this moment.   

We are going to stand before your face Lord; We are going to come and present ourselves to you day after day, and we are saying we will make war on our passivity. We will run into our strong tower over and over and over. We will choose to live in that place. And as we do I know that we will discover your majesty and your sovereignty, and your supremacy. 

I pray, for every person who has a relationship with you Lord, every person who calls upon the name of the Lord, every person overwhelmed with passivity and fear, would be totally overwhelmed in this moment with the Bigness of our God.

I want all of us to see the bigness of our God. I want to see almighty God in my life – for Jesus sake. 

So we ask it in his name-Amen.
