July Targeted Devotional Prayers

We recognize that our worship carries authority and impact in all three spiritual atmospheres. We choose to partner with authentic, true worship as a powerful tool with which we establish Your kingdom. We release our sound of worship into the atmosphere to destroy the sound of the enemy in our lives, the lives of our family, friends and loved ones. We will bless You at all times; Your praise will continually be in our mouths. Our soul will boast in You. We sought You and You heard us and delivered us from all our fears. 

We lovingly flood Your throne room with our heart of affection for You as we tell You who You are to us, how much You mean to us, and how overcome we are by Your love. We turn our heart of affection towards You and brag about who You are. We sing Your story of miracles with a joyful song. You are better than anyone can imagine! You are always loving and kind; Your faithful love never ends. We lift our hands and thank You for Your marvelous kindness, for You smashed through heavy prison doors and shattered the steel bars that held us captive - You have set us free! We love You Jesus with everything in us because You are so worthy. We fall more and more in love with You as we become more aware of Your grace, Your love, Your faithfulness, Your truth and Your sacrifice. 

We close our eyes and allow Your passion to fill our hearts as we feel Your absolute affection for us. We quiet ourselves until all we feel is Your delight in us. We invite You, Holy Spirit, to take us into encounters with the Lover of our soul and cause a lovesickness for Jesus to overwhelm us. Amen

The one thing we crave from You God, the one thing we seek above all else, is to have the privilege of living with You every moment of our lives. We search for the sweet loveliness of Your face as we delight in Your glory and grace. We want to live so close to You that you take pleasure in our every prayer. Open up Your grace fountain for us, for You are our soul’s true shelter. We hide beneath the shadow of Your embrace. 

Father God, we joyfully express our love for you today. You are worthy of our praise. Our worship is more than a song, it is a lifestyle of expressing our deep love and affection for you. We cannot hold back our worship as we think about the greatness of Your grace towards us. When our hearts are captured and captivated by Your furious, radical love, worship explodes out of our hearts and rises to Your throne room as a sweet fragrance.

We choose to lift up our heads, to pursue the things over which You preside. We choose to see our circumstances through Your perspective, to be more caught up in Your internal world then what’s happening outside of Your kingdom. When we do this, we are creating a gate for You, our King of Glory, to rush through, and when You do, everything changes, a great exchange happens: beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, freedom from addictions, courage for fear, hope for hopelessness and joy for depression. Thank you God!

You are magnificent; You can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to Your greatness. Generation after generation stands in awe of Your work; each one tells stories of Your mighty acts. Your beauty and splendor have everyone talking; we could never exhaust the details of Your greatness. We are a people who, like Moses, ask of You: Show us Your glory. Show us the best part of who You are; show us Your goodness and let us be carriers of that goodness to the world around us.

We quiet all the background noise vying for our attention as we take a deep breath and slow our heartbeat down to match Yours. Your perfect love is chasing us down - we choose to turn around and let Your love catch us. We imagine Your love rushing towards us like an ocean wave. Your love is so refreshing, and it is washing away all weariness from our soul. This cool rushing wave of Your love is washing away every doubt that tells us we’re not good enough. We hear You declare: “YOU ARE ENOUGH! My daughter, you are enough. My son, you are enough.” We are enough for You. 

Your reckless love overwhelms our broken emotions. Your perfect love blesses us with sound minds. Your love heals our mind, emotions and spirit. No one loves us the way You love us. No one cares for us the way You care for us. You are the reason we are laid down lovers. We embrace this beautiful exchange: You give us Your heart and in exchange we give you ours.

Holy Spirit, you are romancing us with fresh encounters of our Beloved Jesus. You are increasing our hunger and passion so that, like David, we long to behold Him. You are inviting us to an increasing experience of Friendship with the One our heart longs for. Permission is granted, we can have as deep of a friendship with God as we desire; the Sky’s the limit; Heaven is wide open. The one thing we crave from You, the one thing we seek above all else, is the privilege of living with You every moment of our lives. Our one job today is to let ourselves be loved by You, to bask in our identity as Your beloved, and let the great overflow of Your love pour out on those around us. 

Open Your grace fountain for us Lord, for You are our soul’s true shelter, we hide beneath the shadow of Your embrace. You passionately annihilate the spirit of depression, failure and negativity. You have brought us before Your throne of Grace to sit beside You and enjoy Your view. Let us be clear, You have set us free, not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into bondage from our past. 

Our soul is untroubled when it lives in the shadow of You. You love rest and You love us. You are releasing overwhelming peace in our lives that will guard our heart and mind. So right now we open our heart and let Your fresh rest and peace wash over us. We let go of all anxiety, anxiousness, stress and worry as it leaves our body and is washed away by Your Shalom. We love you Lord and bask in Your love for us.

Jesus, You are our time and space; without You, we have nothing. We choose to quiet the chaos around us and listen to Your still voice that is always speaking. As we behold You today, we invite You to imprint Yourself on our psyche. We recognize Your presence here with us right now and keep our eyes focused on You. We don’t just glance at You occasionally, we BEHOLD You. We fix our eyes on You and invite You to possess our thoughts, to fill our soul, mind, emotions and will. 

Holy Spirit, you are releasing a fresh anointing for us to experience the power of rest and peace. You are inviting us to abide in Jesus and live in radical Shalom, because our soul is always untroubled when it lives in the shadow of our spirit in Christ. 

Our entire world can be reeling and rocking, but internally we have a place of peace, rest and stillness where we shelter in the storm. As we connect with You, our Prince of Peace, we find our heartbeat slows down to match Your heartbeat, and even though our external atmosphere may experience pressure, internally we are experiencing Your Shalom.
