December Targeted Devotional Prayers

We dwell in Your secret place, it is our home where we find peace, rest and stillness. You instilled Your secret place inside of us as a secret internal castle of Your Presence where we can open our heart to You as You open Yours to us. When we dwell here, the enemy cannot find us, his access is cut off. 

Your secret place is where we discover who we are when no one is watching as we soak in Your strength, refining and inspiration for our future. This alone time with You increases our awareness of Your presence in our daily lives. 

You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in Whom we trust. In Your secret place Your Holy Spirit produces His fruit inside of us to encourage us, strengthen and empower us. Holy Spirit’s fruit produces Your character and nature within us until our refuge becomes our fortress. We come out of this fortress armed with authority, power, strength, wisdom and Your strategies on how to crush the external obstacles attempting to create chaos in our life. 

Our greatest place of safety is near Your heart, under Your wings.

You are the Wonderful One, The Extraordinary Strategist, The Mighty God, The Father of Eternity, The Prince of Peace. You put us into the one place where we are always protected, where we can live in the Presence of Your Spirit, where we always have access to peace, rest and stillness regardless of our circumstances. We choose to abide, live and stay in that place, deep in the heartbeat of our Prince of Peace. 

You keep us in perfect peace as our mind and trust is fixed on You. Peace is one of the tangible signs of Your Presence inside of us. Because of You, we always have a deposit of peace in our life that empowers us to live a life of rest. Your peace rejects our anxiety, fear and panic. 

You are teaching us how to access the deep well of Your Spirit so we can behold You at new levels, with new lenses and new access. You strip away our capacity for anxious thoughts and worry as we yield and surrender to You. You are releasing a fresh wave of peace to empower and refresh us. We are no longer a victim of external circumstances or pressures because You, our Prince of Peace lives powerfully inside of us.

Our help comes from You. You guard and guide us, never letting us stumble or fall. You are our keeper and You never forget or ignore us. You are always watching over us, protecting us day and night, always at our side to shelter us in Your Presence. 

You are our protector, our watchman and our keeper because we are Your treasure. You do not slumber or sleep, You do not lose interest in us, You never grow weary but You stick close and keep watch over us because we are Your treasure, the joy set before You that allowed You to endure the cross. 

There is no circumstance, situation or series of events where You will not only keep us safe, but also cause us to prosper. You have created a place for us in Your heart and in Your affection where we have the privilege to simply abide. You do not shield us from life, but You promise the waters will not drown us and the fires will not scorch us because we belong to You.

Your Kingdom has come upon us and made all of Your blessings available. We are over-the-top joyful because Your royal power of dominion has invaded our circumstances. 

Your Holy Spirit is our comforter in times of grieving, wounding, rejection or loss and thus we are blessed because Your Kingdom comes upon us in all its Glory. You draw us near and pull us into Yourself as You release wave after wave after wave of comfort in, over and through us. 

Your Kingdom and Presence has invaded our life with a fire of passion and with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. We have such a hunger for You that cannot be filled. Holy Spirit, come and fill our hearts with Your passion and let that passion ignite a renewed passion in our heart to be filled with righteousness. Thank You Lord. Amen.

Lord, we ask You to bless us and keep us. We ask You to shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. Lift up Your countenance upon us and give us peace. Mark us with Your name and Your blessing. 

Thank You that Your ridiculous favor and grace uncomplicates everything in our lives that is currently complicated. Every morning we wake up with a sense of Your joy and pleasure over us. May we be overwhelmed by Your presence and the joy You take in us. We love You Lord and are so thankful for Your blessing on our lives.
