April Targeted Devotional Prayers

Father, thank You for the gift of Holy Spirit. Fill us up to overflowing with the Spirit. We want to be a people wholly filled and flooded with God Himself. Increase our intimacy with the One who loves us so much.

Holy Spirit, You are so present and we so appreciate the reality that you never leave us nor forsake us and we love hanging out with You. 

I love the way you lead me to Jesus. I love the way you show me the Father. I love the way you love others through me. I love the joy you explode in my heart. I love the passion for life you have birthed in my heart.

I love the way you love me even when I’m not having a good day. I love the way you love me even when I fail. I love the way you love me. even when I choose to separate myself from you. I love the way you love me even when it seems like the rate of my development seems to be going in slow motion.

I love the way you love me the exact same way when I’m having such a great day as when I’m struggling. You amaze me.

Thank you for always being with me. Always.

Holy Spirit, thank you that you are the one who we can surrender to in difficult times. Thank you that you shield us in the shelter of the Most High, and in that place of peace, rest and stillness you overwhelm us with the love of Jesus. It is a secret place, a hidden place that the enemy and difficult circumstances cannot find us. 

It is also the place where our faith and trust grows, where kindness is developed and where all your fruits of love: peace, goodness, and self-control are developed at deeper levels in us. 

Thank you Lord.

Lord, thank you for your gift of the Holy Spirit, and that he is the one who produces his fruit in and through us. We are so grateful that we do not have to try to produce it, but we simply surrender to Holy Spirit and he will produce the fruits of love, joy that overflows and peace that subdues.  

We know that the fruit of the spirit is really good fruit, but that it is developed in tough soil. We know that joy and peace are developed in times when both of those attributes of the spirit are under attack. Help us to welcome the tough times, knowing that you are producing good fruit in us. Help us to surrender to you in the tough moments, and allow you to produce those fruits through us.

Holy Spirit, we know you are our Divine Encourager. It is who you are! We know you are always here ready to help, ready to comfort and ready to encourage. So come now, into this difficult situation we are living in. We want you to be so attractive in us, that our sphere of influence cannot stay away. They see you in us, being biased towards us.

It amazes us that you want to be a part of every part of our life, and we want you to be. So, we acknowledge you, and invite you into every activity in our life. We want to grow strong in the spirit. We want to feed on your milk and meat written in the Word. Feed us, Holy Spirit, our hearts are open and surrendered to you! Amen.
