Overcoming Fear: SEPTEMBER 21-27
Thank You Jesus for your promise in Matthew 11:28 Come to Me all you who are heavy laden and I’ll give you rest. We enter into Your divine exchange, giving You our burdens as we step into Your peace. We respond to your command to not fear and we yield our heart of affection toward You as You release Your grace to us. Grace empowers us and enables us to do what we could not do before. We choose to look beyond the lesser truth of facts and attach our thoughts to the highest level of truth: what You say and who You are for us in this moment. As we yield to You, we will never be shaken or intimidated by the opposition that rises up against us. Our courage will be a sure sign from God of the downfall of our opposition and that we have found a new life.
Lord, we ask You to put a spirit of resilience into our hearts. Holy Spirit surround us with angelic warriors and a courage to repel fear. Let Your perfect love rise up in us as love violently casts down fear. Your perfect love throws off every fear experience or thoughts. We pray for a sweeping deliverance from fear and that You would raise us as an army known for our courage that knows their way around fear so well that we can assist others in this breakthrough. Thank You Jesus for releasing us from fear and filling us with courage.
Devotional Prayers: AUGUST 31-SEPTEMBER 20
We live for face-to-face encounters with You, knowing You are passionately seeking face-to-face encounters with us. You have set a wide-open space before us. You are drawing us to a place where we fix our eyes only on You. Holy Spirit, we have to know more than just this stuff in our heads. We’ve got to have encounters that transform us. We have to experience You in ways that reach deep within us and transform the way we think and the way we approach life. Father, let the wishes, yearnings, longings and dreams that You are dreaming in Your heart for us in Heaven, let us discover them and walk them out here on earth.
Father, we pray for ridiculous favor over our finances, for ridiculous inheritances and ridiculous bonuses. We pray for checks to arrive in the mail with ridiculous amounts on them. We pray for ridiculous favor in relationships and in seeing relationships restored. We pray for favor in the area of breakthrough over habits that we have been desperately trying to break and for freedom in all areas that once had us bound. And out of our freedom we pray for opportunities to set others free in the very areas that had us bound.
You are releasing a profound encounter with refreshing in the area of intercessory prayers for our family and loved ones. You are stirring up a fresh wind of prayer. We accept Your invitation and anointing for a new season of intercession like Hannah’s. We will pray without weariness. We will stretch out our hands in the night watches and never grow weary. You are doing a new work in the night watches and giving us dreams of intercession as You call us to a new place in Your presence. You are releasing wave after wave after wave of cool refreshing over us, where we feel refreshed in our mind and in our emotions. You are the God of sudden breakthrough. You are a tested help in time of trouble; more than enough and always available whenever we need You. The raging roar of wind and storm and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in You. We surrender, we are still and silent as we stop striving; we know and see that You are God.
