Benefits of the Resurrection: March 29-April 4, 2021
Jesus we are humbled and amazed that You have stood face to face with us and said “YOU, are so worth dying for!” With You standing for us, what could ever stand against us? For God has proven His love for us by giving us His Son. He has proven there is no need with too great a cost for Him to meet. We will never exhaust the love of God which is 100% focused on us, our family and our life.
Through Christ we have become more than conquerors. We are not only victorious, but we are jubilant, filled with His love, overflowing with His good gifts to us. We are more than conquerors. We are above and beyond what a conqueror looks like. We live in the triumph of Jesus. There is nothing the enemy can throw at us that will disengage us from God’s love. His love is the greatest reality in our life that defines everything else. There is nothing that can ever happen that will undo the beauty and the love and the goodness that won on the day Christ gave His life for us. There is nothing else that needs to be done, He finished it.
6 Days Before Passover: March 22-28, 2021
Jesus, we thank you for coming to us in the form of what we need, not just what we want. Thank you for meeting the cries of our heart that are so deep we may not even be aware they’re there. Thank you for showing us the way to meaningful friendships, people to share our lives with. Like You Jesus, we choose to take a pause, and spend time with cherished friends as we allow Your love to flow back and forth between us.
Thank you for always showing up for us, even when it’s outside our expected method or outcome. You always show up. You reflect our value back to us and remind us of who we are. Our identity is firmly planted in You. We take You as our husband, the lover of our souls and we pour ourselves out for you. Like Mary’s alabaster jar, let our devotion be a sweet fragrance to You and everyone around. May we gift our love to You extravagantly, in ways You will never forget. May our love for You be a sweet fragrance that fills the air around us so all may know we are Yours and You are ours.
Saint Patrick's Breastplate Prayer: March 15-21, 2021
Christ be with me, Christ within me
Christ behind me, Christ before me
Christ beside me, Christ to win me
Christ to comfort me and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger
Christ in hearts of all that love me
Christ in mouth of friend or stranger.
Intimacy with the Father by Dorothy Barnes: March 8-14, 2021
We love You Lord. Thank You for hearing our cry. We trust Your Word that says: they that wait upon You will constantly be refreshed and renewed. We will wait on You Lord.
We trust that You will provide for our every need. We praise you for what You have done and are about to do in our lives. We thank You for Your faithfulness. You are always with us; You will never leave or forsake us. We take You at Your word that You will never relax Your hand on us, for Your Word never fails.
We step into You and receive peace. You heal everywhere we hurt. You restore us to wholeness… mind, soul, heart and body. We choose to forgive, release and bless just as You have forgiven, released and blessed us.
Ephesians Devotions: February 22-March 7, 2021
Your love is not just a point of theology but our divine encounter; we are immersed in the heartbeat of a Father who adores us. We begin to live in our truest identity when we start from Your adoration for us. Lord, let it be said of us that we have a tender and unselfish love towards every person we come into contact with. Fill our hearts with the knowledge of Your great love for us until it spills out onto all those around us.
You have called us into the realm of the impossible, and nothing is impossible when we have the right clothes on. We put on the clothes of dunamis power and choose to stand in true biblical hope, the joyful waiting in anticipation for You to strike into our circumstances. Please give us a Spirit of wisdom and revelation, a heart that hears You and understands Your voice. You are our prize and anything we pay is hardly worth comparing with Your glory.
