April Targeted Devotional Prayers

Jesus, we turn our attention to the invisible realm of Your Kingdom that is far superior to our natural realm. We acknowledge our natural existence while having faith for Your reality to become our reality. We are so grateful that we have all the power of Heaven living inside of us. We partner our heart with faith and hope: the joy filled anticipation of You striking through into our situation. 

Holy Spirit, cause faith to rise up and be our response in every intimidating circumstance in our life. There are no impossibilities when there is faith and there are no exceptions. May our faith invade circumstances and situations that have been labeled impossible. We have a passion to see our faith grow and develop in us. Every situation that looks impossible, we choose to aim our faith in that direction and as we do, we will see our faith increase exponentially. Thank You Lord!

Jesus, when it seems as though we are facing nothing but difficulties, You give us an invaluable opportunity to experience great joy. As we face tests and trials, we pray they would reveal in us deeper levels of faith and that our faith would produce the fruit of patience in our lives. Thank you that our trials produce perseverance which leads us to hope and hope in You never disappoints. 

Let the meditations of our heart be pleasing to You. Birth Your desires in us as we delight ourselves in You. Thank you for reducing everything down to the simplicity of loving You with all our heart and loving everyone around us the exact same way we want to be loved. There is nothing we do to earn or prove that we deserve Your compassion, grace or forgiveness. Just as You so freely gift these things to us, may we be moved with compassion for others, consistently offer grace and be quick to forgive. We love the example You have placed before us. Make us like You Jesus.

Jesus, it’s just You, not You AND, it’s just YOU. We choose You above everything else. We stake our identity in who You are and who You’ve made us to be. You are our center, our source, our light, our hope, our song. You are the reason that we live.

We love what we already know about You, but we know there is soooo much more that we have yet to uncover. We choose to relentlessly pursue the wonders of You. We choose to sit down with You and ask questions: What is on Your heart Jesus? What are You dreaming about? We choose to rediscover the infinite.

Jesus, we surrender to You. There is no one and nothing we would rather give ourselves to than You. We love that when we surrender to You, we get to give You the control that can be so heavy and overwhelming - a burden we were not meant to carry. We choose to let it go. We take a deep breath in and we let it all go. We know that You have us and You got this.

Father, it is with our eyes firmly fixed on You that we are able to walk in Unshakeable Faith. We choose to stand, listen and wait; knowing that only through You will our salvation come. We ask You to make us great at the waiting. We stand still with expectation and anticipation as we attune our ear to hear Your voice on the wind.

We thank You for gifting us with Your wrap around presence, for setting aside a special place of peace for us to enter in the waiting. Your glory is all around us. We don’t want to squander one moment of this waiting on worry when You have so clearly set aside good gifts for us to enjoy in this moment. 

You will not fail us. You are never late. Your answers may not come in the package we expect, but we know that Your promises are even better. You exceed our expectations time and time again. So why would we worry? You’re not worried. There is no risk of failure with You.

Jesus we are humbled and amazed that You have stood face to face with us and said “YOU, are so worth dying for!” With You standing for us, what could ever stand against us? For God has proven His love for us by giving us His Son. He has proven there is no need with too great a cost for Him to meet. We will never exhaust the love of God which is 100% focused on us, our family and our life. 

Through Christ we have become more than conquerors. We are not only victorious, but we are jubilant, filled with His love, overflowing with His good gifts to us. We are more than conquerors. We are above and beyond what a conqueror looks like. We live in the triumph of Jesus. There is nothing the enemy can throw at us that will disengage us from God’s love. His love is the greatest reality in our life that defines everything else. There is nothing that can ever happen that will undo the beauty and the love and the goodness that won on the day Christ gave His life for us. There is nothing else that needs to be done, He finished it.
